9th International Mango
Symposium is scheduled to take place during
8-12th April, 2010 in Sanya, Hainan Province, China.
Conference Venue: The
venue of the symposium is located at Nantian Conference
Centre at the outskirt of Sanya and about 30 km away
from Sanya Fenghuang International Airport.
Hotels: Hotels
reserved for the IX International Mango Symposium are
at around 3-10 minutes walking distance from the Conference
Centre. Details of the hotels about facility and room
rates are shown under the Accommodation section of the
symposium website www.mango2010.cn.
Scientific program:
A broad scientific programme embracing oral presentations,
poster presentations and field visits are the major
activities of the symposium in association with exhibitions.
From the abstracts received, oral and poster presentations
are grouped into thematic sessions as listed below.
Acceptances of the abstracts to the symposium have been
e-mailed to respective authors, either for oral or poster
presentations. Time allocation to each oral presentation
can be found in the Preliminarily Programme on the website.
Only Power Point presentation
is accepted for the oral presentations. Instruction
to speakers will be available shortly on the website.
Instructions to the poster presentations will also be
available shortly.

· Session 5: Physiology
and Reproductive Biology
· Session 7: Fruit
Processing and commercialization
· Session 8 and
10: Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology

11: Postharvest Physiology and Technology
The oral sessions will be kicked off by two plenary keynote presentations focusing on mango production and consumption of the world and particularly of China. In total, 11 oral sessions have been planned with 3 plenary sessions and 8 parallel sessions. Within the framework of the11 oral sessions, one keynote presentation will initiate each session. A noted feature of the Preliminarily Programme of the IX International Mango Symposium is the allocation of two and a half hours for poster presentations to maximize benefits of the symposium to all participants.
Book of Abstracts:
It is a pre-requisite to all authors to finalise their
registration before the deadline to secure their abstracts
to be included in the Book of Abstracts, and keep respective
time-slot in the Preliminarily Program for oral presentations.

Field visits:
For the purposes of maximal exposure of mango-related
technical aspects in Hainan Island, a symposium field
visit and a post-symposium tour have been proposed.
